How long have you worked at Walpole Partnership?
My first collaboration with Walpole Partnership was in February 2020. After that, I worked with several clients as a freelancer, but I always kept a close connection with the team. And here I am today, fully part of Walpole Partnership and working on client projects once again.
What’s your role at Walpole Partnership?
I’m a Senior Business Analyst and a Subject Matter Expert in Billing. I’ve worked across many sectors and industries, including leasing, telecoms, banking, reinsurance, and air-freight.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I wanted to be a high-school teacher in maths, physics, or chemistry. I used to give private maths lessons while studying.
What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
The hardest question ever! I’d probably say my experience in Brazil. I went there on an exchange programme without speaking a word of Portuguese, but I came back completely fluent and passed my semester. I also made wonderful friends and learned so much about Brazilian culture.
What can you be found doing in your spare time?
I usually go for a walk or head to the gym whenever I have free time.
What one skill would you love to have or learn?
I’d love to learn to play the lute. I actually have one at home and even took a few classes… I really need to get back to it!
If you could time travel, where would you go?
This question made me laugh because it immediately reminded me of the series Quantum Leap, which I watched as a kid (and definitely didn’t understand fully!). As tempting as it is to pick a major historical moment, I’d be more strategic and go back to April 13, 2013, when Bitcoin was €66, just to make a few investments for my future.
What’s one thing that really annoys you?
Wrong judgments. When someone approaches you full of stereotypes, doesn’t give you a fair chance, and starts making assumptions that are completely disconnected from reality. It really grates on me.
What is your favourite film of all time?
The Shawshank Redemption, definitely. It’s the only film that ever made me want to carve “Brooks was here” into a wall.
Sweet or savoury?
I occasionally crave something sweet, but most of the time I’m all about savoury, especially salty and spicy dishes. If it doesn’t burn my tongue or make me question my life choices, is it even food?
