Our next employee spotlight is asking Debs Hayden Waters all those interesting questions….
How long have you worked at Walpole Partnership?
I joined Walpole in January 2022, so just over a year ago.
What’s your role at Walpole Partnership?
I am the in-house Salesforce Consultant and Administrator for the company. Last year I co-designed, built and implemented a new sales system using Sales Cloud. This year we will be rolling out Service Cloud with a customer portal for our customer success team. I have also been working with our Marketing Manager on sending email campaigns and investigating how we can automate our processes across the business.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I had no idea what I wanted to be when I was growing up and was always envious of those that had a clear career plan. My only focus was travelling the world, which luckily I got to spend a lot of my 20s doing. I chose a degree that was recognised globally and specialised in International Business for this reason.
What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
In 2021, I retrained as a Salesforce Administrator while looking after my 3 month old baby and 4 year old son, and still living in a global pandemic. I passed my exam first time and then 3 months later got offered my role at Walpole.
What can you be found doing in your spare time?
Spending time with my husband and two young boys, mostly outdoors. I do love a rummage through a vintage shop or browsing unique vintage pieces online. I also enjoy reading and going to an outdoor fitness class when I can. And ……scrolling through Rightmove!
What one skill would you love to have or learn to do?
I would love to be able to play a musical instrument like the guitar and be that person that keeps the party going when the music stops.
If you could time travel, where would you go?
I know a few of my teammates have said this but I am going to have to say the Roaring 20s. It was the theme for my wedding. I love the architecture, fashion, art and jazz music.
What one thing really annoys you?
It goes without saying – rudeness. But I also have to say noisy eaters!
What is your favourite film of all time?
So many, mainly from my childhood as tend to watch mostly documentaries now. But I’ll say the Goonies as I watched that recently with my boys.
Sweet or savoury?
Definitely savoury. The only thing I missed when pregnant was a good smelly cheese.
