How long have you worked at Walpole Partnership?
I’ve recently celebrated my 5 year anniversary at the company.
What’s your role at Walpole Partnership?
I’m the Marketing Manager. Working for a small, but growing and successful business means that my role has evolved hugely over the last 5 years, and will continue to do so in the future. This keeps me interested and on my toes!
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
A police detective – I now channel my inner detective by watching the occasional crime drama on TV.
What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Completing my PGCE (teacher training qualification) when I realised very early on in the year that I wasn’t meant to be a teacher. I was brought up with the ethos that if you start something, you finish it and you don’t give half way through.
What do you do in your spare time?
My main hobby is singing (in a choir). I’m lucky enough to have performed in some awesome concerts and venues including the Sydney Opera House and at a couple of Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in London. I also enjoy urban walking. I rarely sing and walk at the same time.
What one skill would you love to have or learn to do?
If I could play the piano well and speak fluent French, my life would be much improved.
If you could time travel, where would you go?
Back to the roaring 1920s. One of the reasons, is that I love Art Deco design and the influence that it had on the design of buildings, cars, jewellery, fashion right through to everyday objects.
What one thing really annoys you?
People whistling out of tune.
What is your favourite film of all time?
Four Weddings and a Funeral – the film just appeals to my sense of humour, and has done since it hit the cinemas over 25 years ago!
Sweet or savoury?
Sweet – the best chocolate on the planet is Cadbury’s Dairy Milk, and it tastes even finer in the form of an Easter egg.
